In the hilarious new comedy, The Hustle, Anne Hathaway and Rebel Wilson star as female scam artists, one low rent and the other high class, who team up to take down the dirty rotten men who have wronged them.

The film is also a remake of the 1988 comedy, ‘Dirty Rotten Scoundrels’, in which two down-and-out con artists engage in a “loser leaves town” contest.

The Hustle: South African release date

The Hustle was released in South African cinemas on 10 May 2019.

The Hustle: Plot and Cast

Apart from Anne Hathaway and Rebel Wilson, The Hustle also stars Tim Blake Nelson, Alex Sharp, Ingrid Oliver and Emma Davies.

Of course Hathaway and Wilson are the main stars.

Hathaway plays a British con woman who spends her days swindling high-end materials from simple-minded aristocrats, while Wilson uses her gifts of persuasion to coax club sandwiches and cakes from unsuspecting simpletons.

After their fated meeting, both ladies team up to steal from the men who’ve done them dirty. However, it would appear that Wilson’s character could use a lesson or two in the art of the lie, and this is where Hathaway’s seasoned skills come into play. Together, the two target a tech-savvy millionaire, who by the looks of it stands to lose more than his fortune if the women have their way.

The Hustle was directed by Chris Addison. The Hustle boasts a screenplay written by contributing writers Stanely Shapiro, Paul Henning, Sale Launer, and Jac Schaefer, with producer Roger Birnbaum.
