This is definitely not one of those Fake News posters you see advertising a concert with a lineup that you could only have dreamed to be true.
Presented by AEG and Big Concerts, promoters announced on 25 June that Sheeran will be leaving South Africans in a wonderful pool of emotional tears at the start if 2019.

When will Ed Sheeran be performing in South Africa?

Sheeran will be performing two stadium shows in South Africa. The first will be at FNB Stadium in Joburg on 23 March 2019. The second will be at Cape Town Stadiumon 27 March 2019.

Even if you’re only a small fan of Sheeran, you understand that these tickets are going to sell out ridiculously fast. Despite the fact that the shows are still roughly nine months away, tickets will be launching before the end of June.
Tickets for the Cape Town show go on sale at 9:00 on 28 June 2018.

Tickets for the Joburg show go on sale at 9:00 on 29 June 2018.




How to buy Ed Sheeran tickets?

This is where it gets particularly important. Big Concerts has already stressed that tickets will ONLY be available on Computicket and will not be transferable.
Tickets can only be purchased from Computicket, are not transferable and cannot be resold or offered for resale.
Tickets purchased from third party websites and unauthorized resellers are not valid for entry at the venues.
Children under the age of 12 or under 1.2m in height are not allowed in Front Zone Standing or General Admission standing area for their own safety.
Children under the age of 14 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian and no children under the age of 3 are allowed to attend the event.
While ticket prices are yet to be announced (check back later for all the details), expect to pay anywhere from R350 to over R1000.
A R350 ticket for these time of events normally gets you a seat high up at the back of the stadium.
The guitar playing musician has previously made it a pet project of his to stop ticket reselling companies taking advantage of fans. These resellers buy multiple tickets on launch day and then sell them closer to the date for as much as ten times the price.
