RE: SHORT  COURSES

We would like to inform the community that we are offering the following short courses for the hospitality industry at no charge:

  1. Food and Beverage Service
  2. Reception Skills
  3. Basic Baking Skills
  4. Assistant Chef
  5. Accommodation Service

Started : 1st November 2014

Duration per course: Two weeks

Dress code: Black and White or Chefs Uniform

REQUIREMENTS:

  1. Certified copy of grade 12,11 or 10 qualification and identity documents
  2. Proof of residence
  3. CV
  4. Admission on successful application
  5. Unemployed youth

Applications must be done at least seven (7) days before the start of the course.

Courses will be Mondays to Fridays, 8H00 to 15H30 starting at the beginning of every month.

Lunch will be included daily. Candidates need to be able to travel o and from the institution daily. Accommodation is only available for candidates that residing far.

  • White Chefs Jacket
  • Blue Check Chefs Trouser or Jean
  • Chefs Apron
  • Chefs Hat
  • Safety Shoes
  • Dish Cloths/Towels
  • Measuring Spoons
  • Bread Knife

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS (OWN COSTS)

The prescribed uniform RECEPTION SKILLS/FOOD SERVICE ASSISTANT OR ACCOMMODATION SERVICE:

  • Formal Black & White (Black Skirt, Trouser)
  • Plain White long sleeve shirt or
  • Plain White school type button collar blouse,
  • Socks or Stockings and
  • Black shoes
